Stress Gradient Correction dialog box

Name-Description
Name Sets a unique name for the parameter.
Label Sets a unique integer for the parameter. The dialog box automatically displays the next available label number. However, you might want to change this if you use a particular series of numbers to identify certain types of parameters.
Description Sets a description for the parameter. This description appears in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box only if you add the Description column to the list table. To do that, right-click the column heading row and choose ColumnsConfigure. In the Configure Columns dialog box, select the Description check box and then click OK.
Categorization
Category Sets the category name for this parameter.
Sub-Category Sets the subcategory name for this parameter. The subcategory appears in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box only if you add the Sub-Category column to the list table.
Properties
Stress Variable Specifies the stress invariant to use in the calculation of the normalized gradient (Von Mises, Maximum Principal, or Pressure). For more information, see Application of the theory.
Gradient Evaluation Direction Specifies the method to use to evaluate the gradient.Normal to SurfaceUses the change of the stress variable normal to the surface to calculate the normalized stress gradient.Max. GradientUses the change of the stress variable and the change in the surface plane to calculate the normalized stress gradient.Especially on edges, using the pure analysis normal to the surface may be too conservative.
Use Parabolic Element Shapes Uses the result of parabolic elements to improve the estimate of the gradient.
