Create Wireframe Elements dialog box
| Select Nodes | |
|---|---|
| Appears when you use the Wireframe Elements command from the Pre-Test Planning group. | |
| Select Node | Lets you select any nodes in the graphics window to include in wireframe. |
| Node Labels | Lets you add nodes to the selection.Use a space or comma to separate your entries.Use a colon or a dash to add a range of node labels. For example, enter 1:10 or 1-10 to add all the node labels from 1 to 10.Use colons to add an incremented range of node labels. For example, type:1:9:2 to add node labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.1:10:2 to add node labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10.10:1:2 to add node labels 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.Press Enter or click Select to add your entries. To edit your selection, click Edit Node Selection . |
| Size Reduction | |
| Appears when you use the Wireframe Elements command from the Pre-Test Planning group to create wireframe elements from any nodes in FEM. | |
| Perform Size Reduction | Lets you reduce the number of selected nodes. |
| Maximum Number of Nodes | Sets the maximum number of nodes to include in wireframe. |
| Minimum Distance | Sets the minimum distance allowed between nodes. |
| Wireframe Parameters/Automatic Wireframe Parameters | |
| Wireframe Elements appears when you use the Wireframe Elements command from the Pre-Test Planning group. Automatic Wireframe Parameters appears when you use the Create Wireframe Elements command from Simulation Navigator to create wireframe elements from a group of nodes defined in a DOF set. | |
| Min Angle Between Wires | Sets the minimum angle, in degrees, between wires connected to a given node. The minimum angle must be greater than 0. |
| Max Number of Wires per Node | Sets the maximum number of wires that connect a given node to other nodes. The maximum number of wires must be greater than 0. |
| Max Distance Ratio | Sets the ratio of the distance between two connected nodes over the average distance of the six closest nodes. The maximum distance ratio must be greater or equal to 1. |
