Physical properties and element attributes > Defining physical properties > Multi-Layer Shell
Layer
Use a Layer type modeling object to define the properties for the individual layers that comprise a multi-layer 2D shell element. When you create elements using a Multi-Layer Shell Non-Uniform physical property table, each layer can have different properties, such as thicknesses, thermo-optical properties, and conductive and/or radiative coupling to adjacent layers. See Multi-Layer Shell Non-Uniform dialog box (Thermal/SST/ESC) for more information.
