Apply layout states
Make a layout state the active work layout state
One work layout state is always active and the software automatically saves any display changes you make to it. The software creates an active work layout state when it starts. You can make another work layout state the active layout state.
In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator:
- Under the Layout States node in the Work folder, right-click a layout state, and choose Make Active.
Apply an archived layout state
When you apply an archived layout state, the software restores its layout, replacing the current active work layout state.
In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator:
- Under the Layout States node in the Archived folder, right-click a layout state, and choose Apply.
Edit and apply a layout state
When you edit and apply an archived layout state, the software restores its layout, replacing the current active work layout state. When you edit and apply a work layout state, the software makes it the active work layout state and the software automatically saves any display changes you make to it.
In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator, in the Layout State node, right-click a layout state and choose one of the following. For a work layout state, choose Edit and Active.For an archived layout state, choose Edit and Apply.The Edit and Apply Layout State dialog box contains the list of data references in the saved layout state. For more information, see Edit and Apply Layout State dialog box.
To edit a data reference, in the List of Data References table, click an entry. You can hold Ctrl and click to select more than one entity if they are of the same type, such as all post-processing scenarios. For more information about editing references, see Layout state data references and Edit layout state data references.
Click OK.
