Define a frequency design constraint

  1. In the Geometry Optimization dialog box, select Define Constraints.

  2. Click Create Constraints .

  3. From the Type list, select Frequency.

  4. From the Iteration list, select the mode number and frequency to constrain from the referenced solution results.

  5. In the Limit Type group, select whether you will define an Upper or Lower limit on the frequency.

  6. In the Limit Value box, enter the upper or lower limit. This upper or lower limit is the response criteria that the software is not allowed to violate when converging on an optimization solution.

  7. From the Unit list, select the appropriate units of measure for the frequency.

  8. Click OK.

  9. Click Next to move on to the Define Design Variables step of the optimization setup.
