Complex plot options
When working with results in complex format, the following complex plot options are available.
2D Argand plot
An Argand plot plots the real part of the complex result against the imaginary part in the complex plane.
2D polar plot
A 2D polar plot plots the results magnitude along the r axis and the phase angle on the θ axis in a 2D polar coordinate system across iterations. The following example shows the displacement and phase angle across several frequencies at a selected node.
Multi-axis plot
You can plot complex results on up to three axes for any combination of results magnitude, real part, imaginary part, and phase angle. The following figure shows a multi-axis plot of displacement magnitude and phase angle against frequency.
Nichols plot
A Nichols plot graphs phase angle against magnitude. Nichols plots are typically used in the analysis of signals.
