Materials
Override a material assignment in a Simulation file
In the FEM file, you assign materials to a physical property table, which can then be assigned to a mesh collector. In the Simulation file, you can override the material assignment by creating a new physical property table with a different material assigned to it.
Ensure that the simulation file is the work or displayed part.
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click a mesh collector and choose Edit Attribute Overrides.
In the Override Mesh Collector Attributes dialog box, click and select Apply Override.
Click Open Manager .
Click Create to create a new physical property table.Note: When you create a physical property table in the FEM file, it is locked in the Simulation file. You must create a new physical property table to override the existing material assignment.
In the physical property dialog box, select a material from the Material list, or click Choose material to select a material.
Enter additional physical property values.
Click OK to close all dialog boxes.
