Model update nodes in the Simulation Navigator
The main panel of the Simulation Navigator includes several nodes used specifically by Simcenter 3D FE Model Update for model update and model update set solution processes. See Simulation Navigator overview for information about other areas of the Simulation Navigator.
| Model Update 1 | Model Update solution process node The Model Update node references both the reference solution and the work solution and contains the following:The solutions normal modesThe mode pairsThe design variablesThe optimization targetsThe optimization target errors |
|---|---|
| Model Update Set 1 Model Update 1 Model Update 2 | Model Update Set solution process node The Model Update Set node links two or more model update solution processes and contains the following:The design variablesThe optimization targetsThe optimization target errors |
| Reference Solution Results Work Solution Results U-Set DOF [144] Normal Modes [15] Node Map [52] Mode Pairing Correlation Metrics | Available only for a model update solution process.Correlation nodesThe Reference Solution Results, the Work Solution Results, the Node Map, Mode Pairing, and Correlation Metrics nodes are all the same nodes as in the correlation solution process. See Correlation nodes in the Simulation Navigator for more information. The U-Set DOF [#] node is displayed when an Analysis (U SET) DOF set exists in the OP2 result file of the work solution. The Simcenter Nastran SOL 200 Model Update solution creates this DOF set for the modal model reduction method. The A-Set DOF [#] and Mr [# x #] nodes are displayed when an Analysis (A SET) DOF set exists in the OP2 result file of the work solution. The Simcenter Nastran SOL 200 Model Update solution creates this DOF set for the physical (Guyan) model reduction method. |
| Design Variables [18] Sensitivity | Design variables nodeThe Design Variables [#] node indicates, in the square brackets, the number of active design variables. In a model update solution process, the design variables node contains the Sensitivity node that holds right-click commands for the design variable sensitivities. See Sensitivity node commands for more information. |
| Targets [20] Frequencies [10] Mode Shapes [10] | Optimization target nodes In the Model Update and Model Update Set solution processes, the Targets [#] node indicates, in the square brackets, the total number of active optimization frequency and mode shape targets. The targets node contains Frequencies [#] and Mode Shapes [#] nodes that separately contain frequency targets and mode shape targets. The Targets [#] node lists, in the Correlation Details View subpanel, the target status, the individual weight and reference data for each optimization target frequency and mode shape. |
| Errors [20] Frequencies [10] Mode Shapes [10] | Optimization target error nodesThe Errors [#] node lists, in the Correlation Details View subpanel, the initial and current errors between work and reference data for each optimization target frequency and mode shape. For more information, see Errors details. The number in the square brackets of the Errors [#] node indicates the number of active optimization frequency and mode shape targets. It is the same number as in the Targets [#] node. The Errors [#] node contains the Frequencies [#] and Mode Shapes [#] nodes that separately contain target frequency errors and target mode shape errors. If you change the method or modify the manual pairing, or modify an individual target status, the Errors [#] node status changes to Out-of-date. |
The Correlation Details View subpanel displays important information when you click the following nodes:
Normal Modes [#]
Sensors [#]
Mode Pairs [#]
Design Variables [#]
Targets [#]
Errors [#]
Frequencies [#]
Mode Shapes [#]
See Correlation Detail View subpanel (model update and model update set solution processes) and Correlation Details View subpanel (correlation solution process) for more information.
Right-click commands for the model update and model update set solution processes are available from nodes in the Simulation Navigator. See Right-click commands for model update nodes for more information.
