Plot acoustic results (FEM acoustics)
With a Simcenter Nastran acoustic or vibro-acoustic analysis, you can plot acoustic results as follows:
To plot SORT2 function results, use the XY Function Navigator.
To plot SORT1 vector results, use the Post Processing Navigator.
Plot SORT2 function results
You can plot acoustic pressure, acoustic power, pressure modal contributions, and pressure panel contributions SORT2 function results.
You can open a single OP2 file or all OP2 files in a folder.
In the XY Function Navigator, right-click the Nastran OP2 Files- Sort2 Results node and choose Open.
Browse to the OP2 file and click OK.The file appears as a new OP2 node in the XY Function Navigator along with the functions that are stored in the file. The functions are organized by result type and are indicated with the icon.For more information, see Manage OP2 files.
In the Nastran OP2 Files – Sort2 Results list, expand the OP2 file that contains the function you want to plot.Results for acoustic pressure, acoustic power, pressure modal contributions and pressure panel contributions appear in the Nastran OP2 Files – Sort2 Results list.
Expand a result set.
Expand the solution step (SUBCASE) node that contains the node or element data that you want to plot.
Right-click the selected functions and choose Plot (XY).For more information, see Plot functions.
(Optional) Overlay different functions in the same plot.For more information, see Overlay plots.
Plot SORT1 vector results
You can plot acoustic pressure, acoustic velocity and acoustic intensity SORT1 vector results.
In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the Acoustic or Vibro Acoustic result node → Load.
Expand the Acoustic or Vibro-Acoustic results node.
Expand the solution step (SUBCASE) node that contains the microphone results that you want to plot.
Right-click the selected results and choose Plot.
(Optional) Overlay different result(s) in the same plot.For more information, see Overlay plots.
