Global Iterative Solver dialog box

Name Defines the name of the modeling object.
Label Specifies a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object.
Properties
Preconditioner Option PRECOND field in the ITER bulk data entry. Controls the preconditioner used by the solver. Using a preconditioner reduces the number of iterations the solver performs.J specifies Jacobi method preconditioning.JS specifies the Jacobi method with diagonal scaling.C specifies the incomplete Cholesky method.CS specifies the incomplete Cholesky method with diagonal scaling.RIC specifies the reduced, incomplete Cholesky method.RICS specifies the reduced, incomplete Cholesky method with diagonal scaling.PBCJ specifies the p-version block Cholesky/Jacobi method.PBDJ the p-version block Direct/Jacobi method.PBDC the p-version block Direct/Cholesky method.BIC the block incomplete Cholesky method for real problems.BICCMPLX Block incomplete Cholesky for complex problems.USER User given preconditioning. For direct frequency response (SOL 108): a decomposition will be done for 1st frequency and the factor will be used for all subsequent frequencies as a preconditioner with the iterative solver. Convergence Criterion CONV field in the ITER bulk data entry. Controls the criteria the solver uses to determine convergence for the solution.ARGEAREX****GEEX
Message Flag MSGFLG field in the ITER bulk data entry.Yes prints messages for each iteration.No prints only minimal messages.
Convergence Parameter Epsilon ITSEPS field in the ITER bulk data entry. Controls when the solution terminates. See remark 5 for the ITER entry in the Simcenter Nastran Quick Reference Guide for more information.
Maximum Number of Iterations ITSMAX field in the ITER bulk data entry. Specifies the maximum number of iterations the solver performs.Enter an integer greater than 0. The default number of iterations is N/4, where N is the number of rows in the matrix.
Padding Value IPAD field in the ITER bulk data entry.Specifies the padding level for reduced or block incomplete Cholesky factorization
Extraction Level IEXT in the ITER bulk data entry.Specifies the extraction level in reduced or block incomplete Cholesky factorization.
Early Termination PREFONLY in the ITER bulk data entry. Controls whether the global iterative solver terminates early.Enter 0 (the default) to have the solve run to completion.Enter -1 to terminate the global iterative solver after it computes and prints the preface information.
